IMPRIMARTAR PACE MAY 11TH 2016

It has been along time since the name Imprimartar has been called over the loudspeakers at the Charlton trots but a blast from the past will happen on May the 11th when the great Imprimartar will have a race named in his honour. Part owner Hughie McGrath won the Member name a race for May and chose to relive many happy memories afforded him and others courtesy of their champ Imprimartar. The highlight being the winner of the New South Wales Derby for the childhood mates. Perhaps it is a timely reminder of how horses can have a big effect on a group of people and indeed a town. As Neil McCallum prepares to drive at this meeting one can only think he would hope to be getting behind the black horse trained by Joe Thompson. So thanks Imprimartar- no hope of you being forgotten.
