MEDIA RELEASE – 21/10/2016

NEW WATER TRUCK FOR CHARLTON HRC

The Charlton Harness Racing Club has taken delivery of it’s new Water Truck, thanks to the assistance of the State Government and Harness Racing Victoria through the Victorian Racing Infrastructure Fund.

The 2000 Iveco Tanker was sourced and fitted out by Casey’s Truck And Tractor, St. Arnaud.

Club President, Mr. John Tormey, said that “the new truck will be invaluable in helping the Club produce racing surfaces of the highest quality and equal to any in the State”.

“With the addition of this new truck the Club will also be able to utilise the old water truck at our Training Track and Complex, which will greatly benefit our local trainers through being able to better prepare and maintain an improved training surface”, Mr. Tormey said.

“We are greatly appreciative of the financial assistance provided by both the State Government and Harness Racing Victoria in securing this vehicle via their VRIF Funding. Such generous and ongoing support for harness racing in country regions is integral in maintaining the success of harness racing throughout all of Victoria.”
