The Charlton Cup 2019 was a great success at TABCORP Park Melton as over 200 members from all points of Victoria came together to celebrate the club’s flagship day. Whilst the new complex ‘at home’ goes up it was a terrific opportunity to introduce TABCORP Park to many who have never been there before.ll

Along with HRV Media Team led by Cody Winnell, the club fully embraced the Punters Party theme and were thrilled to have the support of the Carrol Brothers representing Team Charlton and the Goodform Boys Jason Bonnington and Blake Redden representing Team ‘The Rest’.

Charlton would like to acknowledge all those who attended and tried their luck on the night – without you there is no industry for us all to enjoy and we hope to plan more events that cater to your participation on course.

The competing Punters Clubs concept gave the room plenty of interest as Cody and Toby McKinnon kept everyone up dated on each teams progress throughout the night. Well done to Team Charlton who took the honours on this occasion – perhaps a rematch may be in order?

The pre event of the St. John of God  Bendigo Hospital Bubbles In The Bush was a tremendous success for the Women’s Cancer Foundation and Team Teal with everybody joining in the spirit of the auction, ably conducted by President Joe Thompson and Past President John Tormey. With the help of many donated items from TABCORP Park, Rich River Golf Club, Five Mile Building, the Bubbles Syndicate,Ames Australasia, Rex Theatre and the East Charlton Hotel the total that will forwarded help research into Ovarian Cancer is $7800.

We were also very happy to receive a generous donation form Inghams Farm Charlton of $500 – fantastic to have locally based businesses coming on board to help us build this event into something very substantial that our club can be proud of. Thank you to all who supported the raffle held in the street and on the night, won by local Lisa Bruns.

Thanks goes to our major sponsor St. John of God Bendigo Hospital who have for the third year running supported this important community event.
